I don't know what it is but the lighting is perfect and you've captured him well.  Excellent work... Mike

Hi Richard,

Beautiful capture with wonderful colors, details & background.  That is what you call a bird on a limb.  Take care, Patsy

I don't know what bird it is either..-:). But what does it matter ?....Is an excellent capture and I love the light; The unfocussed BG really throws the subject out. Very well done!.

Beautiful backside lighting really makes this well composed image shine, especially the light on the beak and feet. Topped off with sharp detail and very nice bokeh. A fine image Richard.

Sincerely,

Holger

Great composition with fantastic light and texture. I have four cats and they are hunters of chicks like this, which some times I am able to temporarily save them from a cruel death. I really do not understand the cats constant need to kill lizards and birds, they are well feed, and are not desperate for food. Perhaps is in them as a means to survive and they do it any way as part of their nature. Warm regards.
