jim_j2 9 Posted May 18, 2014 A photograph I'm not used to seeing from you, . . . "no body perched on your finger tip!" Lol! This is simply great! One does not often get more than one species of birds in the same frame and, catching these two is unique although they usually share the same hunting areas! The details of both the Bald Eagle and the Great Blue Heron are very good and the Heron's wing position couldn't be better for this shot! As well as the lighting for both! (Getting any detail in the Bald Eagles dark feathers is a challenge, at least for me!) Nice shot! Regards always,Jim j. Link to comment

tm_j 30 Posted May 19, 2014 This remind me so much of Baby Island in Whidbey Island, Washington States. I guess even though you are a bit further North the shore line is about the same. Good catch to get both of them sharp, it's harder than it seems. TFS! Link to comment
patflynn 0 Posted May 20, 2014 I've never seen a photo like this. Two very exotic species in juxtaposition, both appearing so regal and elegant, aligned so perfectly with one of them in flight. What an incredible capture! Link to comment
tomh2m 2 Posted May 21, 2014 Awesome photo. I'm sure there were numerous visits to this favorite spot...and happening to be there at the right time. Your efforts were well rewarded. Link to comment
