Here is a shot I took in the bush in Zambia. It's a very special shot for me. It gives me chills when I look at it and it took me awhile to figure out why. To me it's life being celebrated at its purest. This impala is being exactly what it is, an impala with no agenda and it is doing exactly what an impala does, celebrating what it is. Hope this image does something special for you as well.

Sincerely,

Peter

Peter this really has that visual quality of speed and impact, you can really get the sense of it being chased by a predator, the titled aspects also works with the diagonal light and dark streaks, the composition is perfectly frame with the animal on the right thirds running into the image with the final piece of the image those front legs bent over like that makes this a very different type of natural history image that would look good in any nature magazine or competition!

Nice, but is it a result of a panning technique or just an application of the bluring filter. If it is the second one i think you you have left out (of bluring) the horns and a part of the back of the animal.

Hi Peter, this image is exceptional. framing, motion etc are of course great, but for me its the purpose expressed by the beast.

Thanks Jason! You nailed it, he definitely has purpose and that is what give this image a little extra.

Sincerely,

Peter
