A very interesting photograph with vibrant colours and some daring post-processing which make it an eye-catcher.  Apart from that you've captured the jousting knights at a perfect moment of maximum tension.

This was taken at a jousting reenacting event, there were so many

tourist around I needed to block them out to intensify the effect. I

used a frosted glass layer in Photoshop to eliminate them,

Great action photo, and the postprocessing acts very well!

This one really pops.  I'm usually more of an in-camera guy and not a lot of effects, but this is tastefully done, the subjects snap into focus out of the textured background.

I am glad I was able to sway you Barry.

I needed this effect because of the thousands of tourists behind the action.

I like your image and the way you processed it that blocks the background tourists.  I should try that out as well.
