Dear Laurent,

This is an most interesting moment. I have not seen anything like this before. It looks like the beginning of a race! You really have presented this beautifully.

Watch out lobsters!  Very interesting perspective ... looks like you were up high ... a building or something else?  A catch of this moment in time :-)

It is a race!A race to the best fishing spots that is;this is an annual event as it is the opening of the lobster fishing season. The boats, fully loaded with 150 traps each are standing by,engine running and waiting for the fisheries dept.to signal the start of the season on the strike of six in the morning. Here,to get this plunging view,I am standing on the bridge linking two islands and these boats are a mix coming from the wharfs sitting at either ends of the bridge.Save for the front running boats which are floating on calm waters, the trailing balance have to deal with all the waves generated by the lot.And....,anybody leaving before the GO-signal is liable for a stiff fine.Thank you for the kind observation.

You are right;the hungry lobster will also get into a race to get to the well-baited traps as soon as they are dropped in the water;in principle, the traps set this day should only be legally raised the next day ,but some will check out these traps from this first load when they return with the second load/other half of the 300-traps quota and bring the no-sale lobster for their own supper.Shot taken from atop the bridge.Thank you for the observation.

Thank you for looking in and for the appreciation. As I noted above, this was under early morning light and taken from high on the bridge.

This is first class Laurent I love the perspectives as well as those colours, but the best part for me is the contrasts between the white and blue water!

Thank you for your very kind comments!

Adrian.

Thank you kindly;this is a good show but unfortunately it only lasts for a few minutes. The plunging POV from the top of the bridge works well on getting the details on the water.

Yes,it is a sort of a show and the bridge apron is usually full of people/family/photographers even if it is quite cold this early in the morning.

Salutations my friend-Laurent
