Bonjour Pierre! I was probably around 10 feet, he does not care about me or any human when they feed. A bit shy when they come in and then once they feed I can move closer is what I mean.

Thanks Ram! Appreciate the kind words very much .. I got a very good lens - the 500mm f4 (the old version). I don't think I would fork out twice the money ($10,000+) for the new 500mm f4 since I don't think the price to improvement ratio is worth it. However, the new lens is 1.5 lbs lighter and that's what people pay for  $5,000 (more than the old one) for 1.5 lbs lighter . I would buy the new 600mm f4 though, I think it's the best telephoto lens around at the moment.
