This big block got floated in at last high tide and bottmed out when

the tide receeded. Its dripping surface matched the overhead cloud

filled sky to frame the distant bridge.Thank you for your comment-Laurent

Ice is a fascinating subject however in this image Laurent you have managed to incorporate it into an interesting composition. Regards. Bob

Thank you for looking in and for the kind appreciation.Snow is difficult to handle, for me at least and when it is spring dirty as here,it becomes easier to get some definition. On this one,the sky was good and that the tide was at its lowest made that I could get this low POV to hide the approach and just leave the bridge showing.

Merci et meilleures salutations-Laurent

Fascinating is right ! for those living in temperate or tropical climates seeing images like this "floating" ice block in a faraway cold region is always of great interest. At first, I thought it was a digital alteration, how wrong. Thanks Laurent for a well exposed, well seen shot of this "stranded" ice formation

Thank you for looking in and for the appreciation. This landscape is ever changing as the successive tides move these blocks around until they become small enough either by the melt or by breakup under collision to be floated away to the open sea;those that are not caught by a current or pushed out by the wind are picked up by the next rising tide and brought back in for another visit.....and sometimes another photo.

Meilleures salutations-Laurent
