Put three attractive, young teen girls, all friends, together, let them be

themselves, and anything is possible if the photographer waits long enough.

Your ratings critiques and observations are invited and most welcome. If you

rate harshly, very critically or you wish to make a remark, please submit a

helpful and constructive comment; please share your photographic knowledge

to help improve my photography. Thanks! Enjoy! john

Great expression, the hair flying and also the expressions and looks of the girls on each side are priceless. So real and spontaneous. The POV seems perfect for what you were trying to achieve imho John. Like it a lot.

Holger

I took lots of great photos of these girls, but I as disappointed that my shutter speed was mostly 1/10 of a second, and many of the best were blurred.  I just happened on the scene too quickly -- not enough time to adjust settings.

Alas.

This is one that wasn't.

Thanks for the kind remark.

Excellent capture not only of a great street scene but also of sheer exuberance and joy.  If this is an example of what happens when you have no time to adjust your settings . . .

My best,

Yes, I was so overwhelmed by the enthusiasm shown by these girls, and mostly believed I had preset my camera/lens combination as I usually do, but in fact I had preset it for lighting elsewhere in the restaurant, and had not considered taking photos involving substantial motion AND being in another part of the restaurant as I passed them where it was darker, so I just fired away, and I didn't check until it was too late.

At times, they were rather still in terms of sideways motion, so the captures came out OK, but in times they were moving sideways to the frame, and those frames showed too much blur.

In fact I spent well over an hour 'saving' this capture, because I knew of the literally half dozen almost great photos I took which were too blurry this one had the best chance of being rescued, and I did OK, but it will never grace a gallery probably, until some great Photoshop artist gets his/her hands on it and does a better job.  The eyes of course are the key, and once the eyes were 'rescued' somewhat, that was the key to 'rescuing' the scene.  I don't use flash at all; my camera flash (other than test) has never been fired for a capture -- it's a great way to make enemies and stand out in a crowd -- often becoming very unwelcome. I learned that long ago, and it's my guiding light.  Just showing a flash can almost get one arrested, as I once found out, when just taking available light photos means 'almost nothing' and gives nothing away about the taking of photos, and doesn't make people 'mug' for the camera so much.

At night among celebrities, it may not stand out so much and may be expected, but I just don't do that kind of shooting at least so far.

And don't expect to do so ever.

;~))

You miss some Michael, but sometimes you can 'save' enough that otherwise might have gone out the sewer if you can do a good enough job in Photoshop.  Remember, the 'eyes' are the thing - people equate sharp eyes with sharp captures, no matter what else is wrong (in general).

Thanks for a kind comment.

Best wishes.
