At first, I thought the box in the upper center might be the minister performing the wedding.  Then I realized that it's a Shinto ceremony.  In any case, the bride and groom both appear to be very happy.

Your imagination allows you to see the quirks in the world, and to present them creatively.  I look forward to seeing your work, because it reminds me that the ordinary in the world need not be seen that way.

My best,

michael

Why does Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum come to mind when I see this? Lol, great capture, fun.

That's hysterical, lol funny. Great observation Jack. The fact is that they are gas tanks and this relationship could blow up at any time. Made my day.

So many of your images are fresh air since they bring that oxygene smile,  and your imaginative creativity doesn't lack gas or limits, it seems. Jack... if I may ask, Is the grabbing by the neck part of the ceremony?

Not as much when I opened it to the larger view, but when I saw the thumbnail, I was reminded of two hooded KKK guys, so it's hard for me to make the transition to comedy which everyone else is seeing, even though I know mine is definitely the eccentric view! The death reference may, indeed, be apt, since these devices recall both tanks of oxygen given to people who are losing their ability to breathe on their own and tanks of poison for invading weeds in the garden. I do agree, regardless of my own eerie thoughts on the subject, that you've found a very unnatural couple here which becomes anthropomorphized through they eye of your lens.

Thanks for taking the time to comment on this picture. I have a definite weakness for these kind of shots that serve as a springboard for my imagination. Glad you all could find some humor here. I mean, it's a poor day without a good laugh. There's definitely more than one way to look at things, though (right, Fred?) You could see this as an old couple beautifully attuned to each other in wedded bliss or as something a little darker, something like a serial killer throttling two innocent victims. I'm aware of the latter possibilities but prefer the more benign view.
