And the ice sheet just broken up by the icebreaker still clogs up the

harbour and keeps hindering the preparation activities for the start

of the fishing season.Thank you for your comment-Laurent

May-colors are showing up in your photos-very different from the previous shots of deep winter. There is still a lot of ice left. Again well captured, showing everybody the change that's going on.

Thank you for the interest. The ice sheet was so thick this year that an icebreaker had to come in and break it up as you see here in order for the boats to be lowered in the water;even with this,it was difficult for the boats to get tight to the wharf in order to start loading up the fishing gear. Some boats are by-passing this step and are being loaded up in their winter park out of the water and will be slipped in the water once conditions are better. The ice is still clogging up the harbour and the start date for crab is still undefined as it also depends on the ice conditions on the high seas;lobster is delayed at least a week to May 5th which will be re-evaluated on the harbour conditions which as is presently blocks any possibility of navigation for the boats which are much smaller than the above crab boats.Life on these wharfs will gain in color in the coming days.

Meilleures salutations-Laurent
