tm_j 30 Posted April 28, 2014 I like this one more than the other one, probably because the detail shown better. I would crop the little water area at the bottom out if it's my image. Just my opinion, TFS! Thanks for the information about the iron effect color, it's interesting. :-) Link to comment
rarmstrong 0 Posted April 28, 2014 Thanks, these birds were on the side of the road near Lake Superior and I almost didn't stop. I was not really prepared for shooting and the light wasn't the best, but I had my camera bag in the car, so I pulled over and was able to get some shots from the roadside, handheld. There were two cranes and they were fairly approachable. This is the closest that I've ever been able to get to them.Dick Link to comment
Not Here 93 Posted April 29, 2014 Quite a striking bird and very well camouflaged with the surrounding vegetation. I'm glad you stopped, this is excellent.... Mike Link to comment
rarmstrong 0 Posted April 29, 2014 Mike,Thanks! These birds have a prehistoric quality. Anyway, couldn't pick the background here and when I look at this one again, should have cloned out that branch behind the beak.Hope to see more this year,Dick Link to comment
