Dana C Doherty 399 Posted April 27, 2014 Not sure what it means, but it keeps drawing me back to it. I see old mixed with modern, somehow. Is the main mechanical piece from a common, everyday item? Is it from an older rotary phone dialer? Intriguing, as always. Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 260 Posted April 27, 2014 Sem meditar aqui, Joaquin! É apenas um tiro foto! Gracias por su visita! Saludps meu amigo! PDE Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 260 Posted April 27, 2014 Dana, As I said to Joaquin, there is no meaning and I don't know the name of the stuff here exposed! It's a part of a bicycle which is in the axes of the frame and serves for...I don't know the word again! It's placed om a keyboard with support for a Russian or Bulgarian script, I again am not sure! That's all! Thank you for your visit! PDE Link to comment
charo 3 Posted April 27, 2014 Hi Pierre. I like the way you play with objects, the way you combine them to create another world, where the imagination is the main element.Kind Regards,Rosario. Link to comment
photo by patsy dunn 1 Posted April 27, 2014 Hi Pierre, Wonderful creative work of art, that only you could create. Take care, Patsy Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 260 Posted April 27, 2014 Welcome Rosalio, It came up all accidentally, I was testing my new ring flash on the first place near me and that was the keyboard and I was testing it on the first thing I could reach on my right hand drawer! I'm very lazy and it came up for me to be creative due to my laziness only, ha! Thank you for your visit and comment! PDE Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 260 Posted April 27, 2014 Patsy, This is just a test picture, not creative work of art, but if you say so it must be so! Thank you for that PDE Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 260 Posted April 27, 2014 Well put, Dominick! Bearings, that's the word, ball roller bearings! Thank you Dominick PDE Link to comment
AJBart 9 Posted April 27, 2014 Another interesting composition. I see the ring light reflected in the bearing. AJ Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 260 Posted April 28, 2014 Yes, it can't be avoided, AJ! Although you can control the intensity of the two rings flash the reflection is always there! Thanks for your visit and comment! PDE Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 260 Posted April 28, 2014 The metal texture is recognizable, Maria, but the plastic isn't that much, shallow DOF since it is from very close and the objects have certain depth! Thank you for your visit! PDE Link to comment
JamieK 1 Posted April 28, 2014 either you are undergoing personal growth, or your camera is broken. probably both. i like it. it's less directive than some of your recent work. all best, j Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 260 Posted April 28, 2014 I said above, Jamie! Depth of field is relatively shallow because it is a deep subject and it is APS - C format camera which doesn't allow DOF as on some small sensor cameras! It is really sharp in the front! Thank you for trying to learn something about photography! I am always here for you to teach you, ha! Cheers to that PDE PS What do you mean by less directive, Jamie? Link to comment
timothymuffitt 1 Posted April 30, 2014 Dear Pierre,I love this! The question mark, placed so perfectly, for me is the focal point and the "stepping off" point for the whole experience. All the other symbols take on mystery (as they would have 40 years ago before we understood "alt" or the Windows symbol etc...). The bearings act as a frame within a frame and in so doing pose many questions and form relationships. Great!Tim Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 260 Posted April 30, 2014 Thank you dear timothy, Without you I wouldn't know that I'm masterpiece maker even when my shutter release button triggers unwillingly, ha! Yes, as a matter of fact I did take care of the background for these test photos and even of the composition! PDE Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 260 Posted April 30, 2014 Yeah, Raymond, I know you are trying to make an input that one has to have balls to introduce such a strong art! Thank you, I think you have balls too! PDE Link to comment
