An honest representation of a scene that does not appeal to me. My only advice with these conditions would be to experiment and get really close to that driftwood and let it be your main focus and have it occupy 80 or 90% of the image.

I appreciate your stopping to comment, John.  I notice you favor the more "dreamy" hyper-real landscape based on your "favorites" folder.  This is not that!  My aim here is more documentary of the time of year and the type of scenery found along the river in this settingl.  I did do a closer shot of the one dead tree, which I found interesting in itself.  I rather like the overall compositon of this particular shot.
