This floating ice from the broken ice sheet seems to be fleeing the

setting sun,but in reality,it is that portion of the ice that did not

make it out to the open sea on the last low tide that is being floated

back into the harbour by the now rising tide;it will go back out with

the next low tide.Thank you for your comment-Laurent

Great contrast between the golds and the dark gray water. I am a dark purple guy (Deep Purple too, which dates me :-), so I might have waited another half an hour to get the reds and blues. But that's personal preference I'd say. Great image, Laurant.

Is a very nice moment caught with warm bg colors and grey-blue dark in foreground,I like too how middle upper image looks with water and some reflection on it.The ice puzzle and v shape creates a nice perspective.Very good seascape Laurent.

my kind regards

Thank you for looking in and for the kind observation.I did stay that extra 1/2 hour but the purple did not happen;it just went flat as I guess the sun just stumbled on a low cloud just beyond the horizon.I was lucky to salvage this one as the sky was clear on this side save for that low strip cloud. As I was using my favorite WA lense,it gathered the broken ice/bottom part which was very dark as the direct light was not hitting it.

Thank you kindly. You surely guessed that I was high on the bridge to get that ice floating back in with the rising tide which created that ''V'' shape with that trailing ''S'' on the right. The other shot(left arrow), I took on the other side of the bridge with the sun on my back;the broken ice is getting back against the ice sheet with the sky lit more pinkish.

Salutations-Laurent
