This boat is trying to manouver around a large block from the freshly

broken ice sheet in order to get to wharfside to start loading the

gear for the start of the crab-fishing season.Thank you for your

There is a lot to like in this image. Laurent. It starts with the colors: the bright colors of boats and dock against the grays of ice, snow, water and sky. I also like the composition. all the diagonals, the bow of one fishing boat coming in from the left ... it all makes for a very dynamic picture. Well done!

Thank you for the kind analysis.Of course when I composed this,I was focused on the blue boat which was trying to wiggle past that big piece of ice in order to get to its parking spot on the wharf to begin gearing up for the approaching season opener;this is a crab boat.This place is going to be buzzing for the coming 10 days/2 weeks.
