I get varied reactions to photos I post from street markets in third world

countries. I would enjoy hearing yours. In this case I am not sure whether her

sad expression is a result of the loss of chickens or the grinding poverty she

must face every day, or...

We interpret her expression more like concentration, it is probably not so easy to carry two heavy chickens around for we don't know how long.

We enjoyed the series of the women carrying all sorts of cargo on their heads, admiring their posture, ability and strength.
