I was so lucky I got all the setting dialed in to get the bird/birds sharp. I was shooting wide-openned but decided to close down the lens to get all the birds sharp and right then is when they took off. 

I'd make a poster of these guys anytime, they are great!

So nice to see 3 of them together. Great capture, especially of the one flying!! Love the blue in their feathers. Quite often I only see grey Herons.
