Hi Tony, the composition is attractive,  the colors are wonderful , and the texture of ice on  water is nice!

Kind Regards,

Rosario.

Maurizio, Tibi, MikeM, Patsy, AJ, Richard and Bela - many thanks and glad you like it.

Richard: I shoot at the highest bit setting in RAW and this is a single image with a graduated neutral density filter to make the water portion a bit lighter. Avoiding  the sun is the main reason why I could get away with a single image - I think. Most of the time I check my histogram to see if it was exposed properly.

Wow, Tony, this is very pretty and very clean.  Very classic composition.  Bang-on White Balance.  Naturally, I like your technique with the grad ND!  Super job as you didn't overdo the grad (i.e. you kept the water darker than the sky).  Wish I'd have been there with you.  Regards, Jeff

Hi Mr Hadley, Happy Easter did you have any eggs?

Best Wishes

Gary

PS Like your PICS can't believe you still use all that old gear and still get top notch results. What's your secret and have you got any tips.

Gary - Happy Easter to you. Wait until you see the top photographers work here at Photo.net.

Tips?

Based on what i saw in your portfolio, try more shots early in the morning and late in the afternoon. Invest more in lens than camera body, use old gear on a regular basis (*_*) - that way you will get to know the strengths and weakness of your equipment.

Other than that, it is point, aim, shoot and get feedback.

All the very best,

I started a year ago looking to see what I might buy in terms of a camera body to supplement and replace my D300.  Still have not decided.

Hi Tpny

I think your greatest asset is choosing the time and place to shoot. The rest is done simply to perfection, as demonstarated in this work. Never overstated because you don't need to. Beautiful.

Have a good Easter

Regards

Tony L

Antony - you are very kind. Thanks.

I prefer my images to be a close representation of what I saw but when I look at the covers of popular photography magazines, those images always seem to be "over-stated'. Sometimes I wonder if that is the direction I should take but, for now, I will stick with my style.

All the very best and Happy Easter to you also.
