Clam-with-Gull

I am fortunate to live in a place with many sea gulls. At low tide,

they find clams on the tidelands and out of hundreds, 1 or 2 have

learned to drop the shellfish on a nearby concrete boat ramp in order

to open the shells. Must be a sign of sea gull intelligence...

Very nicely done David, I like the darkened background it pulls the gull off the page. Good action capture, nice clean focus and great position on the sun, high lighting the wings nicely.

Nice capture of the water droplets.

I really like the back lighting, the dof and the tiny water droplets. The proportions and the birds position in the frame are also spot on! 

Could this be evidence of Gull Evolution, hmmm they might start using mobile phones next : - )

I really like that dark background and the backlighting through the Gulls tail and wing feathers!

The Clam in its beak and the water droplets are the icing to top the entire scene off!
