Are they going back to their roots or is that the root of all evil :=} Many philosophical questions here. As well as... What may be just over the horizon.

The people on the left seem to have a divine drive to reach the Holy tree while the individual on the right seems to be making his journey in stride.  Much to think about here Pierre!!   AJ

Raymond,

Let's say that I had enough of that quasi medieval knight, ha!

Thank you for your short contemplation and first of all for your precious visit!

AJ,

There are many other ways to travel, who says that they are coming from far away, maybe they are living one mile from the holy tree!

Thank you for your contemplation too!

Thank you, Maria!

I also think the red car IS better, but I decided to put there two small cars of different ages! To make the picture timeless, ha!

Pierre,  magical play of the shadows, great contrast & perspective, another stunning execution for interesting story, very effective & artistic !       Congr.

Sometimes you come up with the most surprising combinations and juxtapositions. The contrast between the colorful modern cars, the strolling man and a tree right out of the Brothers Grimm kind of whipsaws you back and forth.

Humanity on a collision course with technology . . .  Only the wisdom of nature intervening here will be able to resolve the conflict.  After all, the roots of technology and homo sapiens are much more shallow than those of nature.  It's sad that the lone human in the frame can't see how deep those roots really go.

And, yes, the most primitive side of me doesn't mind worshipping nature.

My best always,

Hi Pierre, you brought us the tree of life to contemplate.  A life  of contrast for me of course. In the past people use to walk, this was  a very good habit that we change for a bad habit, we want to do all by car, easy life, not exercise whatsoever, we even want the parking lot more close to the store so we don't have to walk.  Also,  I see in this  tree of life all benefits that  nature have to offer  us  for our good living, but we just change its benefits and beauty for a jungle of concrete in which we find all this fancy cars, but not bikes to help us to keep healthy, a life where we struggle for more and more material things, but not  for the beauty of nature, its calmness and peace to our souls, things  that we can get just by walking and contemplating nature were this tree of life is locate it. I go with nature, yes I like your tree of life!

Warmest regards,

LuDa

Hey, Richard,

You are very consistent with your precise naming of the qualities in one short sentence!

Thank you for your continuous help with solving the problem of what the artist wished to say matter! I always have that problem as you know!

Thank you, Luisa!

You turned my holy tree into a tree of life which may come to the same on the end! I once walked 50km in one day and about 10 years ago used to bike 50km per day, every single day and on the weekends even more! Others made me lazy, those with the cars who don't even know how to use them!
