I have expressed how much I love Poppies, but I must admit, I have

the hardest time photographing this particular kind. I don't know

enough about my Camera Settings when it comes to oversaturation

or blowing out bright oranges, fuschias and reds. But one can't help

but be drawn to such lovely bright colours just the same. It is pouring

rain right now, and while working on this image, all I could think of

was how 'delicious' the bright colours appeared. The orange colour

reminded me of how delicious an Orange Crush Ice Cream Float

tasted that my Dad would make us children for a very Special Treat.

Then I got thinking of Orange Sorbet, Orange Juice, Orange Yogurt,

and yes those wonderful days of summer when the only word that

describes a day is 'Delicious'!!! I hope all of you experience many of

those as better weather comes your way, or is now there. (Orig.

This is really a striking, beautiful image. That yell!(ow) really bursts on the screen. Of course it can't just be yellow. The oranges and purples compliment the yellow. Nice work.

Please don't crop the NW. It is perfect the way it is. The brightness of the corner suggests a very warm and bright summer day, i think that's what you wanted to show with this fantastic alteration.

It is very creative and artistic.

I love Poppies too they are so innocent looking but still have a lot of details to play with.

My complements.

A beautiful shot full of almost soft pastel colours, then you are hit by the colours in the centre of the flower. Another piece of fine art photograph. Best wishes William

Hi Gail.  What a beautiful burst of color! I love this yellow tone, combined with orange flower, gives the feeling of warmth and joy. You have done an amazing job here, with this texture added, and the center of the flower very clearly. A work of art and good taste!

Regards,

Rosario.

You understood the brightness in the upper left corner so well!!! I can understand where for many they would not care for this, but it was something I wanted to try. My deep appreciation for your kind words of encouragement. :) Gail

The bright top left is intended, but I can understand if you do not care for it. I guess it is a 'personal' thing, but I even struggled during processing whether to go that route, many thanks for your visit and input!! :) GAil
