Beautifully done, a moody, dangerous early morning ride. Truly evokes the history portrayed by these reenactors.

Very nice feeling with the slight blur and the warm tonality.  I grew up in the Washington DC 'burbs in the late 50's and 60's but had not visited any of the Civil War battlefields until last year when I spent some time at Antietem.  I was really moved by the experience.  This image and your other posted Civil War shots really help me identify with that experience.

I tried to add my own twist on an American Civil War image.

Although pictures of movement back then did not exist, it is my

interpretation.

The sepia tones and motion give the image the illusion of authenticity. I also like the way the figures fill the frame.

Wonderful post processing - very soft, painterly feeling. Excellent capture of the horses' movement. I also enjoy shooting reenactments, but have done only Revolutionary War ones so far.
