davidmccracken 2 Posted April 5, 2014 Equilateralish at least. Making geometry fun. Feedback appreciated. Link to comment
gsphotoguy 3 Posted April 5, 2014 It is always good to have fun. I like the play on shapes and the contrast of colors. Of course you might understand that I also like the pose of her hands. Link to comment
owen_omeara 1 Posted April 5, 2014 As you know from my work, I love triangles and am glad you fancy them as well. -Cheers Link to comment
Elstad 6 Posted April 5, 2014 Quite the Marvelous still life my friend! Though I'm wondering... as the fruit is rather green and unripe, does this mean she is a virgin? And yes, it is grande how the pattern of her hands mimics the arrangement of the fruit. I like too how the middle row fruit's stems touching like they do, mimics her navel. raymond Link to comment
andrzejp 7 Posted April 5, 2014 Very nice serving! I love the idea and pears are my favorite fruits. Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted April 6, 2014 Mark, An interesting comment. I not sure which element of this photograph I like most myself but certainly the hands are up there. Owen, Yes! Triangles are wonderful. That said I am a fan or many shapes that the body can create. Raymond, I guess you are not too familiar with this breed of pear. They are ripe. Once the lose their greenness they are a bit too soft. As for the young lady being a virgin, I am quite sure she is not. Andrew, I hope I haven't spoiled your love of pears. You could always try to google 'pubic pears.' Thanks everyone. Link to comment
wink_photo 0 Posted April 6, 2014 David. Cool, really cool. The repeated triangles are wonderful, including the one implied (or hidden?). I especially like the little dark triangles created in the negative space of the fruit. The fruit of your imagination is the fruit on (of?) her loins ;-). All the best. Dana... Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted April 7, 2014 Svetlana, I try. Dana, The triangles in the negative space of the fruit escaped me. I am glad you pointed them out. Thank you both. Link to comment
