ryourth 0 Posted April 14, 2014 Hi Tony-Like this image with the cem etary in the background. Very nice POV. Must admit the brown sky is distracting, but guess I am from the old school. Would be interested knowing your reasons for the heavy influence of brown in your images. i do like your compositions.Best Regards-Ross Link to comment
Tony Brandstetter 814 Posted May 9, 2014 Hello Ross, the amber colors are from the Infrared, it enhances the exposure used. I have added a black and white version so it may be a bit more palatable for you. On the version I kept the bend in the road. Link to comment
Tony Brandstetter 814 Posted July 18, 2014 I was traveling down one of the interstates in the US when I sped past this church. Determined to get the shot, I got off at the next exit, got on to the interstate drove past it again, got off the interstate and got back on. It turns out there was no shoulder, parked my car a distance away and walked towards it. Simi trucks were whizzing past me, horns blowing, cars changing lanes at the last minute. Yea, I’m the guy who has never been in an accident but I tend to cause them, what I will do and the human lives it cost to just get a shot. Link to comment
alfbailey 2 Posted July 19, 2014 I can see why you would turn around and risk life and limb to get this shot, it's a wonderful building and foreground tree adds a great deal to the composition. I share Ross's view about the sky though and prefer the finish on your B & W version. Compliments & Best Regards Alf Link to comment
JeffBryce 0 Posted February 28, 2015 I like the grittiness and contrasts of this. And I prefer this over the b&w version, as it reminds me of an old tintype. Really nice composition. Very well done! Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 260 Posted March 16, 2015 Has a special mood to it! The subject itself is very interesting and the effect emphasized the impression! Cheers, Tony! PDE Link to comment
