In the previous image I had used Textures in Black and White. I still

liked the Colour image. I was troubled by what appeared to be a

white Halo outlining his face. I am not sure if this is because I used

the onboard flash or not. The sun was bright behind him, his face

was in a bit of shadow, but I do not know if the Onboard Flash makes

any difference at a distance of 74.0mm? His hair was still wet from

playing in the Water Park, and a 'drip' of water still remains on his

face. He is so 'far away' in this image. Yet all around him more than

a hundred children were running to and fro, laughing, screaming,

shouting - you could barely speak to someone beside you for the

noise! This image of my Grandson Kael, was taken at age 7, in June

of 2010. He will be 11 years old in July, just another reminder for me

that time is passing far too quickly. (visits and input always

appreciated, kindest regards, Gail)

You certainly captured his 'far away' look. What are kids thinking at moments like that? emb

Your grandson is very cute, Gail. I love her serious expression and his eyes. The title sounds perfect! You're right, I also I see a white Halo outlining his face. And if l it is backlit, it is common to see these beautiful halos. I guess in this case is not as pronounced due to the flash light. I also really like the textured version. You have done an excellent job there.

Kind Regards,

Rosario.

I did not think of the light that was coming from behind him and that it could cause a 'halo' around his face. Thank you so much for that information, as I struggled with the cause of the 'halo' for some time. He is now 3 years older and beginning to loose his 'little boy' face. They grow so fast. Many thanks for your very kind words of critique and encouragement.

Sincere regards, Gail
