Laki Craters

Very impressive image! Great feeling of depth. Looking at the thumbnail I first thought it was an aerial shot, but it seems that you took this from a mountain. I've been 4 times in Iceland but only in late autumn, in the winter or in early spring... so that region was unreachable (apart from a pricey guided tour). Your image is inspiring. I hope I'll be able to get there one day!

Panoramic view over Laki craters, a volcanic fissure in the south of

Iceland, which spread tons of basalt lava in the surroundings when

they opened up in the 18th century.

I visited Iceland one time in 2008 and I hope to come back soon. I like this picture, it render a good idea of the Iceland landsdape and at the same time document the power that lay under that magnificent region.
