You asked, . . . "Is it too saturated?"

 

In my opinion and, for what it's worth. The Heron looks natural except for the blue area around the eye. That area maybe a little oversaturated but the Bill and the remainder looks very good to me.

 

What I do find distracting is that dark spot about half way from the tip of the Bill to the bottom of the frame. More so in the Thumbnail view than actually looking at the "opened image!"

 

Otherwise, a really nice "crisp shot" of the Heron!

You were fortunate to get this close in my experience. They get spooked easily!

I appreciate your feedback.  The greenish spot is OOF vegetation and I left it in to balance a similar area next to the neck.  However, I could see it as a distraction and would perhaps lighten it up in the next version.  I do have a tendency to over saturate my images but I do enjoy vibrant colour...
