atle.g 0 Posted September 22, 2003 Does the comp work?..or maybe a tighter crop? Comments are welcome. Thanks !! Link to comment
beholder 0 Posted September 23, 2003 Don't crop it. It's beautiful as is.Especially because it is your first picture (from published here, and may be except "Waterfall And Hut") that is not "open-spaced"... :))) Link to comment
alan chan 0 Posted September 24, 2003 Present layout is fine, the distracted branch in the middle right is "unavoidable" but why bother.. this is nature. Link to comment
mauricio alcaraz carbia 0 Posted September 24, 2003 Beautiful composition. What I like most is the efect of the water "running" out of the photo after the few steps behind. Photo with motion. I love this. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted September 25, 2003 What a beautiful image! I'm not real thrilled with the leaning small branch across the stream, but the composition and lines of the image are wonderful. Link to comment
suk_jung_choo 0 Posted September 25, 2003 Please accept as constructive criticism. Just my thoughts. That branch is real distraction. Otherwise a perfect shot. Link to comment
gabi_mor 0 Posted September 25, 2003 I really like the composition, however, i find the blueishness of the tree trunks really disturbing the "nature" feeling of the photo. maybe a warmer filter would help ? very nice ! Link to comment
miles_hecker 0 Posted September 29, 2003 Hi Atle, I feel the composition works to a point. The white branch crossing the stream is a distraction. IMO the composition is too tight on the right. The flowing stream needs some breathing room. This is a good shot, but not up the very high quality of your best shots. Miles Link to comment
atle.g 0 Posted October 3, 2003 Thanks for the comments!! Regarding the branch, i must admit that i did not payed much attention to it, i was more concerned about the overall comp, but several commentators did, and "forzed" me to look at it a different way, and yes, i agree.. the branch breake the lines of the composition. Miles.. i agree about the lack of breathing, unfortunatly the right side of the frame was not appealing and would not helped the composition. Perhaps a top crop could provide a illusion of breathing room, since the stream will appear a bit "wider"? Link to comment
