This young moose left the deep snow of the forest but got trapped in

the traffic. After looking at all its options,it decided to leave the

road to the car traffic and walked slowly back into the forest.Thank

you for your comment-Laurent

This young one was sort of trapped between my car and that pickup truck. We did nothing to scare it as it might have hurt itself,so we just let it find a good spot to climb over the snowbank and disappear into the forest.I managed to get a few good shots as it was coming right at me until its long nose got a scent of me and it turned around.Even this young they are impressive, but an adult one is about twice this size.Thank you for the nice observation my friend.

We have a lot of forest in this part of the country and a large community of these moose;accidents are frequent and very serious considering the size of these animals. Some of our major highways are equipped with fences to keep the moose and deer population from entering the trafficway when they are especially vulnerable at night. It is a good feeling to be able to get an image of one of these.Thank you for looking in my friend.

Nice and funny "model" you have here Laurent! It's a sign that this environment is still pure and natural, I guess...Best regards my friend!

You are right. This whole island is free of any industrial installation and has a very low population(600),so these animals are in all freedom. As you note, the moose is a very particular and peculiar looking animal, the adult ones more so.Thank you for looking in and for the observation.

Salutations amicales-Laurent
