WOW!  What a great shot.  You have composed it well, got it tack sharp, and the b/g is excellent.  Bravo, once again.

Very, very good subject,I like it a lot.Moment caught with snow flakes and blur bg colors makes to be seen this elegant(if i can say)bird with all its beauty, compliments for this.

As Mike said, . . . "They do seem to love the camera!"

This is one of the nicer shots I've seen so far this year! The Snow just starting to fall really has an impact and makes the Snowy really stand out!

I certainly do wish they migrated this far south but, . . . "Ain't gonna happen!"

Cheers Tm,

Thank you Folks!

Jim, I was lucky that it snows on the last night that I was there before dark for about 10 minutes with just enough flakes for me to get this shot.  I had the SS slowed down to 1/125 but I found that it's not really neccessary since even at higher SS the white flakes still show well.

Wow! Fantastic capture! The wood and the background make a perfect contrast with the white of the bird. The snow flakes are a real bonus. Well done!

I hope to be ableto come to Canada one day to shoot those amazing owls.

Best regards,

Alain

Thanks Alain! Yes, they have much more Snow Owl up in Canada. I probably would have gotten much better shot if I had some experience shooting this bird but it's my first time and going accross the country in a strange place with result like this is already more than one can wish for.
