Many people would be satisfied with the enigma of and dazzle of the silhouette against the book, but I think the addition of the secondary outline of a bust really transforms this into a surreal, almost montage-like piece that demands a layered kind of response. It insists that my eye travel around the frame, wondering whose presence is going to win out. It involves me, as a third player in the game.

Molto coinvolgente.

thanks for your time, my friends. In this photo there so many plans that i dont remember. a bookshop, the reflex of a geant book on the street behind me, the white man that is a pub inside the bookshop, the black man just behind me... i closed shadows becouse books are also inside the black man, toomuch confusion

A book wide open for intrigue.  Although you went through an intricate concept, this well conceived result interestingly reminds me of some old imaginative comic strips. Nice one!

I like the sense of mystery here too,  especially as the silhouette is about to disappear out of the frame.  Perhaps the door to the pub is camera left & he is about to enter to find a good book and some liquid refreshment to enjoy with it.  At first I thought the image should have the man on the right, entering the frame,  but then he would partially cover the white silhouette and ruin the balance.  Some things are best left undisturbed.  Best, LM.
