For this photo I wanted to use the square format and the composition

in diagonal to give more emphasis to the peculiar beak shaped like a

spatula which gives its name to this bird, thanks for your comments

What a great photo.  The square format and diagonal line works very well.  Pleased that the eye is tack sharp.  Excellent b/g too.  Bravo!

What a capture.This needs to be viewed large where it is more impressive.I think this would also look as good if you were to sacrifice the square format and frame this tighter from the top and bring more focus on the eye.Just something I would try to see.Excellent work!

Is indeed a very interesting portrait caught and idea for tight crop seems to be very good for purpose you had,i like too that moment caught was exactly with an water drop on beak,very good one again from you.
