Hi, just one of those strange objects you see on the seaside at brighton.

The idea was to try and capture the seaward and landward sides of

Brighton with this surreal object. I would appreciate any views or comments

on this shot. Many thanks William.

The glitter ball over powers the picture.

Why and how is it hanging at a beach?

Maybe the couple in focus with the glitter ball out of focus.

In this case I personally would have made a straight line with the glitter ball putting one of the couple on each side of the line.  The female appears to be out of the line the eye follows from the chain.

The surreal ball reminds me of a Chuck Close work. It is marvelous. I find the banal blurry figures below distracting and without much thematic connection to the ball. emb

Thank you both for your comments. Things to think about. I wanted a human scale as a sort of contrast, not sure if it works, but.......

technically i see some flaws.... the ball is very centred its suspended in midair, we cant see how its attached the framing feels a bit tight as well however..  breaking rules does work and on an artist level this works,, i think maybe black and white and dark to go more into the artsy feel. for myself as an artsy surreal  genre photo it works but otherwise it just seems too messy for me. i dont know if i have expressed myself well enough its  just a vision i see in my head...
