Thank you, Bill for the kind comment.

As you know, this can be a challenge.  I guess that I have discovered what most people who do this learn.  A good tripod helps.  Getting close to the subject without scaring them off is tricky.  Using a lens with good glass is a must, but the lenses are not cheap, and then processing...but just enough, strikes the final balance.

Practicing this takes time, but it is really a lot of fun and if you are fortunate enough to get some nice results out of thousands of shots it is really nice to have someone like you comment who has an appreciation of what we do.

Best regards,

Dick

This is like a fine illustration and is really well presented.  She seems to be checking you out as well...  Mike

Mike,

Thank you!  This weekend the finches came in for about an hour.  The light was good and I was able to stand very still under a balsam bow while the birds posed for a few seconds.

It is really fun to review the shots and find a few that make the time spent worth the effort...which you know so well.

Best,

Dick
