hamidfarzandian 0 Posted March 8, 2014 A handheld shot in low light conditions of sunset, comprised of two shots, one for entire scene using 1/60 sec; f/6.3; ISO 250, and second shot for the sun star using 1/30 sec; f/22.0; ISO 1000. Then blended using advanced luminosity masking technique. The location is country side farms of my city Bojnord, IRAN. Thank you for your visit, comments and rates. Link to comment
stp 6 Posted March 9, 2014 I can appreciate the work required to do the blend. I like the sky and sun star. I think the light on the nearest clump of grass (wheat? barley?) is too strong, especially in relation to the surrounding field. I suggest reducing this light somewhat, and then adding just a bit of light on some of the other clumps and areas in the background (less than what you leave on the primary clump in the foreground). Just a suggestion. Link to comment
hamidfarzandian 0 Posted March 9, 2014 Thank you guys for nice comments and positive feedback. Very much appreciated.Stephen, in the main shot, the wheat crop was as bright as you see here. I just darkened the other regions in adjacent areas to pop the crop up and augment the similarity of lines and shapes in ground and sky. My earlier versions of the scene was closer to what you suggested, but that look flat and with lesser mood. Thank you for your kind and insightful comment.Best regards,Hamid. Link to comment
