The bay is frozen as far as the eyes can see;today,a clear sky just

added to the bright sight.Thank you for your comment-Laurent

Fabulous! The little wisp of clouds bring additional appeal. Today was wonderful weather-wise - I even saw someone in shorts at zero degrees C and it looked like this.

Looks like the winter beginning, hope not for you to be this.In all your composition clouds have an important role and in balance wit ground and all elements there did a nice scene.

Thank you kindly and if you noticed,I left the polarizer off the lense when I went out on the ice today as you suggested to see how the skies would turn out;I did not take a shot with/a shot without as the with the -10C,my hands were still freezing  even if this is a sign of Spring here also. The results were good as it eliminated the banding in the skies, but on the other side,it made it slightly more difficult to get the definition in the snow:just had to work a little harder in PP.

Thank you for the nice thought;not the beginning of Winter, but it shows no sign of wanting to leave.I usually wait for a good sky,one with clouds before I head out as I know exactly what I am going to shot as I basically visit the same spots and in this case, the same ice formation,so the sky gives me that variance to make a different image.

Thank you kindly.I have no choice but to keep it simple as basically, all these images are ttaken of a flat shheet of ice over the harbour with the only disturbances being small pile ups and cracks brought about by the tide action and earlier storms. It should change shortly with the Spring break up;combined with a good storm, this usually creates interesting photo opportunities.

I noticed you left off the polarizer and that is part of the reason I was excited about this image. It comes down to personal tastes and I really prefer the evenness of this sky. I might have given those clouds a slight helping hand to make them just a tad 'less blue" or lighter.

All the very best.

Thank you for noticing and for the kind observation. You are right about the matter of taste;I would have been tempted to darken the sky,but I resisted.
