This picture is fantastic, really. The texture adds so much intrigue, not only in his face and beard but even the background. Everything works. I like the pose as well. on some people that kind of pose would look forced or fake, but with him it seems natural and his hands tell a story of hardship (I would guess). I enjoy the coloration as well. It's muted a bit so that he blends with the wall but not so much that he disappears into it. Well done! You really have a gift for photographing people. Did you talk to your subject? I'd be curious to hear about his life and the kind of person he is. The photo says a lot and now I want to know more :) One small thing I would adjust: brighten up his eyes a bit. You can easily reduce the shadows and that should help bring a bit more focus to his eyes. It's such a stunning photo and I feel like if his eyes were a bit less hidden in shadow, they'd be even more inviting. And with his fingers directing our gaze right to them, it's crucial that we can really see and explore the eyes. Anyway, just an idea. A software like photoshop or something similar would be sufficient for such an edit. I use MAGIX but that's just me. I hope this was helpful and keep doing what you're doing! You're clearly really good at it!!
