Please view larger for more accurate color. There's a touch of beauty

in the worst of weather if one looks for it. During my dreary drenching

walk in Stanley Park, I found this harbinger of Spring, daffodils

growing in a tree. The slanted faint lines are blowing snow. If winter

lingers in your yard as in mine, this may pick up your spirits. Thanks

for your comments. Larry

Excellent find, and nicely photographed subject of an interesting natural occurring. Like a shelter by a bigger brother. How heathy they growing in a dense group in a very small available dirt, soil. I like it. Nature is beautiful.

Cheers.

I'm always intrigued by photos of plants finding a very small microclimate in which to grow and thrive.  This is a nice contrast between newly growing, delicate shoots and a much older tree showing its scars acquired with age.

Now this looks to be a good place for a Leprechaun to hide in with his pot of gold. A lovely image indeed!

Nice discovery there. At the beginning I thought there is a cobweb on the tree but then reading a bit and understanding where this shot was taken I realized it is your almost never ending rain.

It's like discovering a little 'treasure'. It truly does cheer me up and reminds me that there is 'hope' in the most unexpected places!!! just think, someone soon will be seeing these beautiful flowers bloom!! Who knows whose day these little flowers will brighten???
