Excellent portrait with a convincing background . The title is very apt and I like her outfit .  The square format suits it perfectly .Well done . Bill

Dear Pierre, a friendly portrait. There's a significant contrast between the dark trees without leaves and the soil like a carpet of flowers in spring, green brimfully. It must mean something..., or at least that's odd to see. The trees are embraced in a beautiful symmetry. The girl's tender, like a Victorian novel girl, running freely accross the moors. Happiness, innocence and freedom. Childhood is represented in her cap. The only thing I would change, it'd be a bit less direct sunlight in the photo, all the same with any direct light, by doing that way the scene would reach timelessness and darker shades would lead to an ancient time. A very pretty and tender portrait. I like a lot!. Congratulations! Pierre, my best wishes. LM.

This image is my kind of presentation, however it has your magic touch that was masterfully explained by another PN member, "The girl's tender, like a Victorian novel girl, running freely accross the moors. Happiness, innocence and freedom. Childhood is represented in her cap." Beautifully said. Congratulations once more. This one belongs in a Londonese gallery or perhaps Paris or Miami Viernes Culturales in Calle 8! Warm regards mi socio!.

Laura,

I also have problems with the sunlit portraits and other stuff! The shadow must be on the other side then and it sometimes, most of the times doesn't suit my concept!

Thank you for your nice and sincere critique!

Mi querido amigo Jorge,

thank you for repeating the words of Laura and praising her nice critique instead of me! And thank you for your visit and nice critique!

Dear Pierre,

This is beautiful! The light (and absence of) gives this image just enough surreality (not sure if that is a real word, but...), to really have an impact. The surreal light however is so subtle that it is not what the work is "about", it just enhances the subject. Very nice!

Definately has that "surreal" feeling about it as does a great amount of your work!

I like her mid to late 19th century style of dress with that hat and, the girls natural beauty and innocent facial expression.

I think the very dark silhouettes of the two "stark" trees against that "plush" green and the foreboding skies all put together work very well here!

Almost a place I'd like to visit!

Cheers,

Jim j.

The picture suits the title (or the other way around?).

Splendid work again...

All the best!!!

Dear Timothy,

I think you said something which I don't understand, the light and the absence of light looking surrealistic! Isn't that which I call play of lights and shadows and isn't it normal for each photo? Maybe you meant the absence of light on the trees, they are silhouettes and the light is striking as much at them as on the girl's face and that's surreal, that's what you meant, stupid me!

Thank you for your visit and nice comment!

Hey Jim,

You said that what I was talking about with Timothy!

Thank you for your visit and observing comment!

Nebojsa,

I didn't have time to think of a better title! I meant to say it isn't springtime, neither is summer! The trees confuse the notion of season which is judging by the poppies early summer and the girl is in the spring of life, therefore timeless suits all right to me!

Thank you for your two comments of today!

Hi Pierre,

I see the master artist has been at it again.  Beautiful portrait with wonderful background, colors & lighting.  I always look forward to seeing what you come up with next.  Take care, Patsy

Patsy,

You could say something different for this one, for I think it's different from my rest! Anyway, you bring me luck and thank you for that! And I like the word master!

The lush green vegetation and spring like clothing of your sunlit subject betray a hint of photoshop hanky panky with the inclusion of the two leafless trees.  I'm on to you now!  :-)  Another visual treat from your fertile mind.  Best, LM.

Len,

You know, I can make a montage which could only machine recognize, it wasn't my aim to hide things I have done, on the contrary, I always want to emphasize something with my surreal approach! By the way, I only had this, dried and died tree in my collection of PSD files, ha!

Thank you for your visit and nice comment!
