kslonaker 0 Posted September 21, 2003 This is a great moody image! There is so much to capture one's interest. Very effective composition! Link to comment
margaret_s. 0 Posted September 21, 2003 I love the irregularity of the railings on this bridge (or is it a pier?) It gives it a spooky quality like you just don't know when you'll walk right off and fall into the water! The fog gives it a very mysterious and almost ominous feeling. I can almost hear the eery music playing in the background! 8-| Link to comment
john_paskey 0 Posted September 21, 2003 Great photo. Perfect exposure and composition. The one thing I don`t like is the frame. I think a photo of this caliber needs a smaller or more subtle frame. I think this frame actually pulls the eye away from the photo. Link to comment
bradkim 8 Posted September 22, 2003 Thank you, Anna, Atle, Kim, Margaret, John, Valter, Shamir, and Anthony, for your kind comments and generous ratings on this image..... Following to John's suggestion, I tried to re-do the frame... and posted the revised one. I hope you like it. Link to comment
mauricio alcaraz carbia 0 Posted September 22, 2003 Another excelent composition. I like the way the bridge leads the eye along the photo. Very well done! Link to comment
donnaalbers 0 Posted September 22, 2003 Brad, this evokes an ominous sense of mystery. And what is that vehicle and who are those people at the end of the bridge? Tourists? I think not! Great work. I particulary like the muted colors shrouded with the mist. Link to comment
carol_watson 0 Posted September 23, 2003 Very cool shot. This looks like the area near Firehole Lake in Yellowstone? I love your composition and exposure -- I was just there last week! How did you keep your lens from fogging up with the steam?! :-) Link to comment
bradkim 8 Posted September 23, 2003 Thank you, Igor, Peta, Isaac, Koos, Syl, Vlad, Mauricio, Baldur, Donna, Howard, Carol, and Guido for your kind comments. I had wanted to try some variances in composition when I took a position to make this picture, but thick steam from the geyser was already making my camera all wet even before making this shot. I was so concerned about the possible condensation inside my camera ( I had experienced it once before.) that I hurriedly moved away from the scene as soon as I made this shot, and dried up the camera. lloyd_davis 0 Posted September 23, 2003 "HALT!" "Before you cross this bridge,....you must answer these questions three" "Alright" "WHAT...is your Name?" "I am Arthur, Sovereign King of all England" "WHAT...is your Quest?" "I Seek the Holy Grail" "WHAT...is the airspeed velocity of an unladen Swallow?" "A Northern Brown Swallow, or a common English Swallow?" " "What? I don't know that! I....AAAAaaaaaaaauuugghhhhhHHHhhh!...(splash!)" "Alright,, lets go.." PS, Wonderful photo! Link to comment
