You do a lot of these wide angle sea and sky or plains and sky type of pictures and they're all good but this one somehow seems special to me. The thin line of the horizon is delicately drawn but it divides heaven and earth precisely.

that part with horizon line and upper cloud that comes softly to whole image looks very good, also reflection just a bit to do the magic for this moment. What I also think looking bottom of the image is that here imo two variants I would :first that I prefer is to have more from that yellow rocks and snow that I think give more base to image(that yellow looks very good in contrast with white and blue),and second one would be to cut out all that part and see just the ice and water.Just my idea looking this and share impressions with you.

all my best my friend

This is a very sparsely frequented place, more so in winter, as it is relatively remote. This day,the tranquility was exceptionnal as it was windless on this normally very windy beach.Thank you for viewing and for the kind comment.

Thank you for the kind appreciation. This one had a little more of the rocks at the bottom, but it was cropped out some when I straightened the image.I attach the shot next to this one with more ground to anchor the scene to see what you think

As we know each one with his taste and how feel what see,to me the first version you did with rocks in a line disposed, very nice color contrast is the best, the second without ground not so good indeed. So ten points for that one with ground, snow and rocks, like it.

sincerely radu, have a very good weekend my friend

Laurent - up to your usually high standards. I particularly like the secondary "Lower POV" image you posted. I also use the 10-20mm lens extensively with my D300. When I added a circular polarizer, It gave me results in the sky that I would prefer to do without.  For more than a few years I have stopped using the polarizer with this lens and when I do, it is because I want to make a change to (e.g.) to something other than the sky. Do me a favor and the next time you encounter a scene like this do your normal shoot but, just for me, do one without the polarizer. Post both and drop me a line.

All the very best,

Thank you for looking in and for the observation.I like the effect of using the circular polarizer with my WA lense but appreciate that the resulting banding in the skies can be irritating to some and obvious, this is why you put it aside.I will surely encounter more of these scenes and will gladly click a few shots sin-filter and post for your feedback.
