Good Morning, Lester,

I love all the images you shot on that beach. The light and color contrast between the brown, often orange beach and the cold, blue sky are striking. They all make good use of interesting foregrounds,  whether it be simple sticks or convoluted patches of kelp, and the composition is superb. Personally I favor the images that have some added interest in the sky. "Serpentine kelp" had the pale sun, the stick in  "on its own" points towards a light patch of sky ... I think these are my favorites out of this excellent series.

Christoph,

Thank you for going through my images here in this series and picked your favourites. That morning on Crystal Cove was uncooperative for photoshooting landscapes. It started with a thick fog that practically made our way to this place hardly visible and it took about two hours (roughly around 9:00 am) before we could see the glimpse of the sun.

Made the most of the situation with two of my friends who came with me to learn more about shooting landscapes. On top of that, the water was a little high making the rocks hardly visible compared to the previous times I was here at Crystal cove. http://photo.net/photodb/folder?folder_id=1034651. Here's some of the images I took from the same place before.

My sincere thanks for your appreciating for my images. Best regards.

Despite the problems that you were met with on this particular morning Lester, you still managed to find some wonderful detail on the beach. You always bring such interesting images to us. I've never been on such a scenic beach.

kind regards, Gail
