Eli day dreaming his afternoon away . . .

The background post bothers me a little - but Eli doesn't care.

Please view larger for best detail -

Thanks, David

Beautiful portrait of Eli - truly fine details in larger view not to mention the colours...and no flash?- fine optics:) br Hannu

Hello Hannu - and thank you for commenting.  Yes, no flash was used.  The window light was very strong on Eli's right side though - washing out most of the color there.  I was barely able to recover detail as such.

So, how is your winter there?  We are having near record snow and cold here in Michigan.

Best wishes, David

This is a charming portrait of Eli. I love the expression as he looks to be gazing in a dream to a far off land where perhaps the weather is warmer and he gets to play out more often.

The window light is quite harsh, but you haven't lost any detail from your subject in fact there is great sharpness throughout.

In the UK we are having rain rain rain rain and more rain, fortunately I am not in one of the area's that have flooded!

Compliments!

Lovely capture of Eli daydreaming. That bright window light can be tricky but you have managed it well. Eli is the name of my 15 month old grandson (Elijah) so I must have naturally been drawn to this photo! :)  Thank you for sharing! :)

Thank you for asking about my furry children! They are doing well but we have all been sad at losing our Tomasina in March. We were expecting it but still it doesn't make it easy. The kitties have been finding comfort cuddling in her spots and for awhile were opening cupboards looking for her. My son was here visiting so she got to see him again one last time and she went peacefully in my arms while I told her I loved her...  And now she waits for us, frolicking, free and young again.

All the best and I hope all is going well for you and your furry children! :)
