Looks like a movie set, just waiting for me to ride my horse into!

I like the clarity of the image and the touches of colour that intersperse with the grey rock, such a wonderfully dramatic scene, it makes me want to be there!

Compliments!

A beautiful scene.  But the light seems too even as I'd expect (and desire) to see shadows somewhere. Also, it looks like a polarizer (or some processing) has caused the sky to become uneven, especially in the middle darkened area.

sorry to say that, but if you took it with older generation mobile phone, shot would be intersting. mentioning pro equipment it looks overprocessed, and light is little boring. All the best, w.

Very good composition.  On my screen, it seems a little over-processed.  It is a great work.  Best Regards,

Jeff, Wojtek, Wanghan, thanks for the constructive feedback.   I'm learning new processing techniques and certainly take it too far sometimes.  Aloha.

After all of the comments I was not sure if I had anything else to say so I had to look hard to find something on this very pretty location and capture. I can't comment on your camera/lens combo but on my D300/Sigma 10-20mm, I have stopped using my circular polarizer because of the effect on the sky. The only time I will use the polarizer is in a two image set-up. The first one without the polarizer and the 2nd one with the polarizer. I might use the polarizer to reduce the reflection on the still water surface to reveal the floor bed. I will combine these two images - one with the even sky and the 2nd one with the reduced reflection on the water.

I can't comment on 'filters' etc. Don't know enough. But I was drawn to the colour of the water. When I was visiting my brother years ago in the Banff area, we did hikes up to lakes that were Glacier fed. Amazing colours. I'm sure you will work out your processing issues, but I still find it an attractive image. You must have so many good memories of Montana.

kind regards, Gail
