The tittle on this photo was not neccessary Jack. We can all read the signs. It's easy, 3,8 meters high bridge and...let me see...ah yes, a Noodle factory, easy.

I like  it's bright like a shiny day, yes it's snowing.

Keep shooting.

Snowy days are not that common in Osaka so I spent most of the morning shooting around my neighborhood in my hooded skateboarder-style coat, frozen fingers and my best battlefield photographer expression. I'm sure most of the passing crowd thought I was quite mad. (That is if their chilled brains were thinking anything at all besides "damn, it's cold!"). By the way, this noodle factory is right down the street from my apartment building. You can see that I live in a luxurious area.

Apparently an area with lots of photos ripe for your picking. That blue in the midst of all this gloomy atmosphere makes this one for me.

A marvelous candid street scene this IS! If you've never seen the movie Tampopo, I heartily suggest that you do. From 1986, Its about a woman who inherits a noodle shop, food/eating in general and gratuitous sex. A 'Noodle Western' it has a story line based on films likle 'The Seven Samurai, The Magnificient Seven (which was also based on the Seven Samuaai) and others. Damn Funny Too! What's not to like?

Thanks, I appreciate the comments. Amy, I like those little dashes of color in the overall subdued pallet myself. Raymonf, I've seen Tampopo several times and am a big fan of Itami Juzo. A taxing Woman (Marusa no Onna) is another gem of his. And of course Kurosawa has to be on anyone's list of great directors. Seven Samurai is my all-time favorite movie. In comparison, for the most part, contemporary Japanese cinema kind of sucks.

Well taken, excellent chosen POV, and your timing again makes such a difference. The fork lift coming out of the building, the man emptying his pail, others with places to go. I too like the brighter colours in this image. They draw the eye and compliment the story like an 'adjective' would.

well seen Jack, kind regards, Gail
