hiya, I am experimenting with B&W conversions so would really love some

feedback please ? I chose quite high contrast becuase the little girl is fairl

dark skinned and had lovely dark hair and eyes....I recently did a

conversion for my son who is blonde and it was FAR more subtle. Would

you agree this is the right approach and do you like the finished

portrait....oh BOKEH is natural, aperture was 1.8

The black and white tones look good to me.  Of more concern to me is the "dust" spots on the image.  Was this from a scan?  There may be more modern methods for removing the spots but I used photoshop 7 and dust & scratches with several feathered selection.  I used a 2 dadius and a 5 threshold.

I am no portrait photographer, so I can't comment on your processing, but I will say that this is beautiful, The bokeh and her expression and lighting all seem very nice to me. It was interesting enough to pick out from the thumbnail to view larger.

Beautiful!
