Confession...I was out intending to photograph birds...but there was very little activity and I was getting bored.

I noticed the geometry and the light of these cones, which had fallen into a small maple.

I liked the angles, the muted tones and the textures.

Isn't that want makes this so much fun?  Seeing the world around us, even the simplest things in nature as wonderful and gorgeous and being able to record the moment and share it with each other.
