One of last few shots from this series. Waters rising, moon was 8% visible

from the skies and the evening was getting cold. Thank you for your visit.

You had a good clear sky and managed the light beautifully to produce an excellent image.I like the very clean silhouette of the pier and that great reflection;even got the moon up there.Good work!

Thanks. Checking on the moon phases and schedules, the moon was 8% visible that night on 02/01/14. Which means that the full moon will fall on Valentine's Day so a romantic and perfect occasion to shoot moon shots.

I love the depth of colour, the beautiful 'light', and reflections in this composition Lester. Just Stunning! I didn't realize that it is a Full Moon on Valentines Day, just Perfect!!! A shot of the Full Moon would even make a great Layer combined with this image. (but of course I am always thinking on the artistic side :) can't help myself).

Most of us in this hobby might already be planning where to shoot the full moon on Valentine's Day. Thanks once more for dropping by. I got inspired here when my nephew asked me to teach him landscape/seascape photography and we gladly went here to Huntington Beach.

Lester,  It is nice to see your images again.  I much prefer this image to the designs in the sand.  This really pops, and the moon adds a nice additonal dimension.  Excellent reflected light in the water.  Larry

Nicely done. I like the richness of the color. The apparently small aperture resulting in the star effect and "Smooth" water.

Congratulations on a well deserved recognition for this image.  At the risk of repeating some of the comments already posted, I am very impressed by the extraordinarily rich, vibrant color tones.  I love the starburst appearance of the lamps on the pier, and the almost surrealistic reflections.
