I'm struck by how much better ice comes across than I imagine water would.  There's simply more detail, more variations of light, and the relatively unique occurrence of an expanse of ice compared to water.  Finally, I like the contrast between the smooth, light ice relative to that of the jagged, dark peaks in the distance.

It's a beautiful composition of a striking scene, especially with the ice detail as Stephen noted above. The only enhancement I can imagine would be a colorful sunset...some other day perhaps ;-) Well done!

Superb! Amazing ice texture. I'm just back from Iceland where I searched such kind of pattern but couldn't find it.
