It seems you had a very good day for photo,is not only the transparency that creates a so nice effect with all ice surrounding but also the soft color.Low light is so good and enough to see this beauty, ten points to you for this.

Laurent,  This is a superb image, most deserving of its rating as one of PN's top-picks.   You are so fortunate to have been in this wonderful place to see this.  Is this the Gulf of St. Lawrence?  The blue-green open water contrasts so well with the ice and also shows our global warming in action. Focus on the ice at right and the foreground is a bit soft, but the spectacular image makes this quite a meaningless flaw, if that.  Great image with a perfect horizon and interesting sky too.  Larry

Thank you again for your close look at this one. This is at 20 km from the house and I almost decided not to come because I knew the tide was rising and that I would not be able to walk on the bottom where the green patch is,but the sky was good and clear for the first time in a long period so,Caramelle and I came for the drive.Glad I did as the tide water was bubbling up and I got a few good shots.

Merci et salutations amicales-Laurent

Thank you kindly for viewing and for the appreciation. The lower left of the scene was in the shadows cast by the low sun catching the ridge of the rip rap on the edge of the coastal road. You located this correctly;this is on the NE tip of Miscou Island where Chaleurs Bay gives on the Gulf of St.Lawrence.

Merci et meilleures salutations-Laurent
